Study Of Status And Control Strategy Of Main Vectors In Qingdao

Objective To search the kinds,quantity,distributing and seasonal change of the vectors by the survey in Qingdao city, in order to accumulate basal data for forecasting and treating with the emergency.To constitute reasonable project for prevention and to control the density of the vectors in order to ensure the course of the Olympics and the sailing game.Method We dynamically inspected the vectors such as rodents, mosquitoes, flies and cockroaches during the year 1995 to 2007 to collect the information of the kind, quantity and so on. Then analyzed the colony state, distributing characteristic and the swing of the pendulum by the season.Results1.The density of rat was at a low level for long-term and comparatively higher in winter and spring. The average density was0.40% in 2007,and the rodents belongs to 5 kinds, the preponderant bevy were rattus norvegicus and mus musculus.The residential area of city was aggrieved lightly but the restaurant was more serious,and there was a high rate in the bazaar,special trade and residential area. The rattus norvegicus were numerously form cloaca,riverway and outer environment.2. The mosquitoes moved about from April to December in Qingdao.The average density was 14.76 in 2007,and the preponderant bevy were Culex pipiens pallens and Culex tritaeniorhynchus which seriously aggrieved the city and country. Different mosquito had different distributing areas and the density was highest in the period from July to September.3.The flies began to be caught in April,and there was two fastigium in July and September, then disappeared in November. The housefly,Lucilia sericata,Chrysomyia megacephala were preponderant bevy. The density was high at 26.47 in 2007.4.The cockroaches we recently found belong to 4 kinds,the Blattella germanica was the preponderant bevy. The density was 0.63 in 2007 and there was a high density at the location which was warmer,full of food and water such as restaurant,packinghouse,bedchamber,supermarket and medical areas.5.There would be a risk of prevalence of entomophilies infection during the Olympic Games, we should take the general measures to control the density of vectors.Conclusion Along with the extensive flow of population during the Olympic Games, There will be a risk of prevalence of entomophilies infection. The vectors had different distributing areas due to their habitats, so we should take general measures to control the density to ensure the course of the Olympic Games.
