| ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of continuous blood purification (CBP) in the treatment of septic shock patients.MethodsTwelve patients who meet the diagnostic criteria of septic shock were enrolled in this study, from Jun.2006 to Dec.2007. Before and after CRRT, APACHEâ…¡scores, MODS scores, the oxygenic index and blood urea nitrogen(BUN), creatinine(Cr) and the patients' PH value were observed.ResultsIn 12 patients, 5 survived and 7died in 28 days, the death rate was 58.3%. After receiving CBP, APACHEâ…¡and MODS scores were decreased, biochemical parameters such as BUN,Cr,PH and oxygenic index were improved and hemodynamics became more stable.ConclusionsFor patients involved in septic shock, early continuous blood purification therapy can improve oxygenation and may avoid multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and improve prognosis. |
