| Objective To observe the effect of cool-tip radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of liver cancer. Methods With local anaesthesia, radiofrequency electrodes were percutaneously introduced guided by contrast-enhanced ultrasound into the tumor of the liver for ablation. Then examine contrast-enhanced ultrasound again, to make sure the mass is ablated completely. Results 114 hepatocellular cancer (HCC) patients were followed up, the mean survival time is 18.4m, and 76 metastatic liver cancer (MLC) patients were 19.1m。Mass size <3cm received a better result than the mass size >3cm. In the MLC patients efficacy is influenced by the primary carcinoma's nature and the number of the tumors. In HCC patients of tumor <3cm , 1-year survival rate is 82%, 2-year survival rate is 64%, 3-year survival rate 45%. In HCC patients of tumor <3cm , 1-year survival rate is 46.8%, 2-year survival rate is 22.5%, 3-year survival rate 15.4%. Conclusion Cool-tip RFA treatment is effective for unresection liver cancer, and the complations are low, so it is an effective and safety treatment for liver cancer. |
