Objective:To investigate the effects of Percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) on P wave dispersion(Pd)and other electrocardiology variables and assess the impact of PCI on atrial initiation of Acute Myocardial infarction patients. To assess the value of P wave dispersion in clinical application. Methods:From 2006 to 2007,80 inpatients who underwent successfully PCI or coronary angiography(CAG)were enrolled. And the age, gender, smoking, hypertension, family history and so on were investigated.12-lead electrocardiogram was recorded for each inpatient before PCI(or CAG)and repeated at instantly,24 hours,72 hours,120 hours after PCI(or CAG).Pd, maximum and minimum P wave duration(Pmax,Pmin)were measured respectively.Results:1.Pd,Pmax among normal coronary angiography group, coronary artery disease groups before PCI/CAG had statistical signification(P<0.001), and Pd,Pmax in multi-vessel disease group were higher than single vessel disease group.2.Pd,Pmax among coronary artery disease groups after PCI were significant decrease than before, and then became stable.3.Pd between atrial arrhythmia group and non-atrial arrhythmia group had statistical signification (P<0.001),they were 39.5±4.1,36.8±6.6(ms)separately.Conclusion:It can significant decrease Pd in AMI patients underwent PCI, which through improve atrium blood-supply may decrease the incidence of atrial arrhythmia, and had positive significance in treatment and so on.
