| Objective Following the transformation of medical model, psychosocial factors are increasingly paied more attention to initiation, progression and prognosis of cancer,as well as depression may have a significant impact on the initiation and development of cancer.8-OH-dG and IGF-1 can be regarded as biomarkers in early diagnosis and curative effect evaluation of cancer-related depression, because of the chose connection between them and the initiation and progression of cancer and depression, respectively. This study was to detect 8-OH-dG and IGF-1 in peripheral blood, and to analyze their values in early diagnosis of cancer-related depression. Methods There are 58 cancer patients with diagnosed by the pathology, with depression investigated by the Hamilton Depressive Scale(HAMD)and Self-Rating Depression/Anxiety Scale(29cases with mild-moderate depression,29cases with major depression),29cancer patients without-depression,applying the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)to detect the 8-OH-dG and IGF-1 of blood serum. Results The mean levels of 8-OH-dG and IGF-1 in depression group and control group were 9.04±1.06,5.42±0.70(P<0.01)and 289.18±52.62,129.45±34.34(P<0.01), respectively. The levels of.8-OH-dG and IGF-1 gradually increased in the control group,mild-moderate depression group and major depression group(P<0.01).8-OH-dG and IGF-1 are independent risk factor to result in cancer-related depression by usin g Multiple Stepwise Logistic Regressive Analysis(OR=7.196 and 2.558,respectively).Conclusions 1.The 8-OH-dG and IGF-1 of peripheral blood in CRD patients is significantly higher than the control group.2.With the progressing of depression in CRD patients, the level of 8-OH-dG and IGF-1 of peripheral blood is gradually rising. 3.Combined detecting the 8-OH-dG and IGF-1 of peripheral blood is probably beneficial for the early diagnosis of cancer-related depression and monitoring the progress of the disease... |
