[Objective]To study distribution of di-n-butyl phthalate(DBP)and di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate(DEHP)in college students crowd, their level and the influencing factor to distribution. To study the toxic character of DEHP on drosophila.[Methods]We made brief evaluation on the eating habit of college students and their knowledge of general food safety and their attitude to some food safety issue via questionnaire(n=552).We used gas chromatography with mass spectrometry(GC-MS)to analyze DBP and DEHP in 420 blood samples of college students. We used method of electrochemistry and luminescence to analyze estradiol(E2)and testosterone(T)in 100 blood samples. We acquired ALT level of 420 blood samples from university hospital. We analyzed all the data of above to study the interaction of those factors. We used two different methods to study the toxic effect of DEHP on the life-span of drosophila.[Results]①There were no difference between count of eating of food with plastic pack in three days and resident area but students from inner ring area had lower count of soft drink than the rest(P<0.05).The count of eating of food with plastic pack in three days had no relationship with knowledge of general food safety but had relationship with attitude toward some food safety issue:students who decided that snack was safe to be packed in plastic had higher count of eating than the other(P=0.0436).②DBP and DEHP were both found in 420 blood samples with positive ratio of 1.67% for DBP and 20.95%for DEHP.The concentration ranges of DBP and DEHP were ND-110.09pg/L and ND-6408.99μg/L.The positive ratio and concentration of DBP and DEHP had no relationship with gender.③Male E2 level was higher of DEHP positive ones than of DEHP negative ones (P=0.029).Students from within outer ring area had higher DEHP concentration than the rest(P<0.05).DEHP positive ones had drunk more plastic packed milk in three days(P=0.032).DEHP distribution had no relationship with knowledge and attitude to food safety.④Mass percentage (g/100g)of 0.05%,0.1%,0.2%of DEHP could all shorten the life-span of drosophila of both gender(P<0.05).New breeding method was used for the first time in our test showing no difference with traditional method. The new method might take place of the traditional one.[Conclusion]Resident area and knowledge of food safety had relationship with count of eating plastic packed food.DBP and DEHP were found in 420 blood samples of college students with a much higher ratio for DEHP than for DBP.DEHP distribution had relationship with male E2 level, resident area and the kind of food with plastic packing eaten.DEHP could shorten the life-span of drosophila. The new method might take place of the traditional one.
