Objective:hyperlipidemia rats model was made successful by feeding hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia diet. We are apply the ultrasonic integrated backscatter technique to measure IBS and the renal size and to compare them with the normal group. To assess the value of ultrasonic integrated backscatter in early renal injury of rats with hyperlipidemia.Methods:50 SD male rats were randomly divided into two groups: normal control group and HF-feeding group .HF-feeding group was feed hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia diet. After 16 weeks, normal control group were 10 rats, and HF-feeding group were 13 rats. their IBS value, renal size, renal functions and plasmatic lipid were measured, then their renal were killed and were taken pathological examination.Results:(1)CHOL,TRIG and LDL of hyperlipidemia rats are higher than the normal rats. The significant difference is found among normal control group and HF-feeding group(P<0.05).It prove that the hyperlipidemia rats model was made successful.(2)CREA,UREA and URIC of the two groups are not significant difference(P>0.05).(3)The renal index and renal volume of hyperlipidemia rats are higher than the normal rats. The significant difference is found among normal control group and HF-feeding group(P<0.01).(4)The IBS and IBS% values of hyperlipidemia rats are higher than the normal rats. The significant difference is found among normal control group and HF-feeding group(P<0.01).(5)Pathological Changes was found in hyperlipidemia group. The cell number of glomerulus are higher than the normal rats. The significant difference is found among normal control group and HF-feeding group(P<0.01). Conclusions:(1)To feed hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia diet can make successful hyperlipidemia rats model.(2)The 2D ultrasound and ultrasonic integrated backscatter technique are useful means for assessing the early renal injure of rats with hyperlipidemia.
