| Compound bee larva tablet is a kind of functional and composite beverage, which is mainly composed of bee larva, propolis and ginseng. In the study, the best formula of the tablet, its anti-fatigue effects and acute toxin were investigated.1. Formula selection(1) Preparing experiments showed that bee larva at dosage 0.08g/kg, 0.23g/kg, propolis at dosage 0.60g/kg, 2.40g/kg, ginseng at dosage 0.15g/kg, 0.35g/kg were the most effective in advancing the time of swimming respectively. So these dosage were selected for the next experiment to test the best formula.(2)With the selected dosage of bee larva, propolis, ginseng, Ganoderma Lucidumorthogonal tests were carried out The result showed that the tablet with ratio 1:30:4of bee larva, propolis and ginseng was the most effective in advancing the time ofswimming.(3) Experiments on stability, flavor, color, solubility showed that adding 0.8% ofmincemeat, 15%β-CD, 30% of soluble-solid were good for the tablet.2. SafetyThe half lethal dosage (LD50) could not be calculated as no dead mice was found after treating with the highest concentration and volume of the tablet. The maximal tolerance dosage of the mice in this test amounted to 22.00g/kg which was equivalent to 170 times of the clinical dosage of an adult (average weight is set to 70kg). It inferred that compound bee larva tablet could become one kind of safety food.3.Anti-fatigue effects(1)The time of swimming and the time of climbing pole were investigated to appraise anti-fatigue. Compared with the control group, the low dosage such as 0.6g/kg has significant anti-fatigue function, and the middle and high dosage have very significant anti-fatigue function on mice. The selected middle, high dosage is 0.8g/kg, 2.00g/kg, 3.60g/kg. The results of experiments showed compound bee larva tablet was good at anti-fatigue.(2) Lactic acid of blood, blood serum urea nitrogen, lactic acid dehydrogenation enzyme and glycogen of liver were investigated to appraise anti-fatigue. The results showed compound bee larva tablet can significantly decrease production of serum lactic acid and serum urea, and significantly increase lactic acid dehydrogenation enzyme and glycogen of liver. From these observations it was concluded compound bee larva tablet had a significant effect on raising sporting endurance and delaying fatigue in mice. |
