Epidemical Analysis On HIV Infection And Its Risk Factors Among Drug Users, Fuzhou City

ObjectiveThe primary HIV infection risk factors of drug users are share injector and unsafe sex behavior. This project analysis the HIV injection risk factors of drug users, from the society, the biology, the knowledge, the behavior and so on, to provide the scientific basis for the control and prevention of HIV infection among drugs users.MethodsBased on the descriptive epidemiology analysis to 1987-June,2007 618 HIV/AIDS patients, Fuzhou. The case: HIV infected drug users, who living in Fuzhou lasted 6 months and above. The control: the same age,same living area,same sex,non-HIV infected drug users, to proceed 1∶3 case-control study. The single factor analysis: the OR value and 95% limits sector credibly ; the multi-factor analysis: Cox's proportial hazard regression model stepwise regression analysis.ResultsThe variables which have statistics significance to the single factor examination to take the multi-factor examination, the variables which have statistics significance are: live with other (OR=4.244), gum hemorrhage more than 10/year (OR=2.796), shortage of drug expense (OR=5.728), drugs dosage more than 1g/day (OR=4.258), share washes injector's water (OR=12.865), washes by water before share (OR=65.955), the times of sex act per-month 3 months nearly (OR=2.957), condom utilization ratio more than 30% with the temporary partner's (OR=7.889), tattoo (OR=3.430) is the HIV infection risk factor. Living with family (OR=0.298), takes drugs in home (OR=0.407), rheumatoid arthritis (OR=0.089), drug injection more than 5 years (OR=0.124), inject more than 3 times/day (OR=0.156), to purchase drug inconveniently (OR=0.165), to have the temporary partner (OR=0.087), to drink wine (OR=0.263) is the HIV infection protection factor.Conclusion1. Be opposite in the times, the behavior actually (for example, share washes injector's water, the way of wash before share) is possibly a more important risk factor; be opposite in the taking drugs time, the degree of takes drugs (for example, drugs dosage more than 1g/day, rehabilitate defeat several times) is possibly a more important risk factor.2. Be opposite in the temporary partner and condom utilization ratio, the numbers and population of sex behavior is possibly a more important risk factor.3. Living alone, Living with family, takes drugs in home maybe are the HIV infection protection factors. 4. The gum hemorrhage is HIV infection risk factor; the rheumatoid arthritis is the HIV infection protection factor.5. Tattoo is the HIV infection risk factor of drug users, it's not important the behavior itself, but the sociological behavior characteristic.
