| S. sioboldii is a liana of Smilax of Liliaceae, its tuber is a commonly used Chinese medicine. The dry rhizomes can relieve sickness wet and disintoxication and so on, the curative effect is remarkable. The chemical constituents of S.. sioboldii were studied in this thesis, which consists of three parts as follows:Chapter 1 The recent development of smilax of LiliaceaeThe recent development of the chemical constituents and bioactive study on smilax of Liliaceae are briefly reviewed. It was found that the contain steroidal saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids, lactones and coumarins, phytosterols, terpenoids, anthraquinones, phenols, organic acids, tannins, amino and proteins, carbohydrates, volatile oil and fats.Chapter 2 experiment studies about S. sioboldiiThe dry rhizomes of S. sioboldii were extracted with 95% EtOH. The 95% EtOH extract was distributed with solvents of different polarity into four fractions, namely the petroleum ether fraction (PE), EtOAc fraction, BuOH fraction and H2O fraction. Each of the fractions was further separated by repeated column chromatography, selectively using silica gel. About ten compounds were obtained. The structures of ten compounds were identified by chemical andspectroscopic methods (IR, UV, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, EI-MS, FAB-MS).Chapter 3 Studies on the chemical constituents of S. sioboldiiThe chemical constituents of S.sioboldii were investigated in this thesis and 10 compounds were isolated from the 95% EtOH extract of its stem. Based on the spectral analysis(1H-NMR,13C-NMR,IR,EI-MS,FAB-MS),β-sitosterol, epifriedelinol, Friedelin,7-methyl-5,3',5'-trimethoxyflavone,physcion, Daucosterol, linarin. |
