| Objective : Lung cancer is the most common malignant tumor in our country. Even with the mortality, its pathogenesis has not been identified completely. Many researches have found that the occurrence, development and metastasis of lung cancer are some courses controlled by some genes, the tumor angiogenesis is the material and morphological foundation. Angiogenosis of tumor is the pathological basis which the growth and matastasis of cancer depend on, because it not only provides plenty of nutrient to carcinorina but also coutinuouly exports tumor cells to neighboring tissues and organs or to the distants.therefore, the studies of rumor angiogenosis are helpful to master the mechanisms of tumor growth, As a result, a series of the clinical symptoms emerge. The neovascularization is stimulated by some growth factors, such as VEGF, BFGF(Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor)secreted by the vascular endothelial cells. among these factors the VEGF takes the major function to stimulate the growth of the tumor and correlated with the tumor's proliferation, invasion and metastasis. The objectives of this research were to study expressions and correlations of VEGF,MVD and nm23 in NSCLC and discuss their significance in carcinogenesis and progression of lung cancer, as well their relations with lymph node metastasis,angiogenesis and prognosis.Method:Surgically reseted and pathologically proved cases of lung cancer were colleced 62 case were included in this study,all the patients received neither radiocherapy nor chemocherapy before the surgey.Information related to patient's sex,age,tumor location,histological type,pathological stage, were recorded.All theparaffin-embedded tissues of 62cases were immunostained to observe the expression of VEGF,nm-23 and CD34 in lung cancer cell. VEGF,nm-23 and CD34 expression were examined with S-P immunohistochemistry in 62 lung cancer and 62 lung tissue of control group (normal lung tissue at 5cm distance to mass or another lobe from the same patients).χ2 test and Spearman Correlation in SPSS for windows 15.0 are used in the study.Results : The positive expression rate of VEGF,nm-23 and MVD in the 62 lung specimen were 61.3%(38/62) ,51.6%(32/62)and 61.3%(38/62), with no relation to patients gender, age ,the size of the tumor and pathology typus, (P>0.05); the positive relationship was found between VEGF expression and lung cancer cell lymphatic node metastasis and the clinical stages (P<0.05); the positive nm-23 expression rate had a positive relationship with lung cancer pathology typus, lung cancer cell differentiation and the clinical stages (P<0.05); the positive MVD expression rate had a positive relationship with lung cancer pathology typus, lung cancer cell differentiation and the clinical stages (P<0.05). Positive correlation of VEGF and MVD,VEGF and nm-23 was found(p<0.05),but no relation was found between nm-23 and MVD (p>0.05).Conclusions :1. This study proves that nm-23 exists in cytoplasm , while VEGF exists in cytoplasm , and MVD mainly exists on cytomembrane.2. VEGF,nm-23 and MVD with no relation to patients gender, age ,the size of the tumor and pathology typus, the positive relationship was found between VEGF,nm-23 ,MVDexpression and lung cancer cell lymphatic node metastasis and the clinical stages; Positive correlation of VEGF and MVD,VEGF and nm-23 was found,but no relation was found between nm-23 and MVD. |
