| Purpose:Measure the Ks,Kf,Ks-Kf,SRI,SAI of the ametropia children using the TMS-4 corneal topography before and after cycloplegia,as well as axial length by A mode ultrasonography.Methods:106 eyes of 53 children aged 3~12 years old,including 50 hypermetropia and 56 myopia,were recruited.Measure the Ks,Kf,Ks-Kf,SRI,SAI and the ocular axis length of the ametropia children using the TMS-4 corneal topography before and after 3 days application of 1%atropine eye ointment.Axial length was also measured by A mode ultrasonography.Eye abnormalities were excluded.SPSS16.0 statistics software was used.Paired t test was used to compare the values before and after mydriasis.Results:Before and after cycloplegia,the average Kf of hyperopic eyes were 41.94±1.35D and 42.07±1.22D,respectively.The average Kf of mopic eye were 42.81±1.38 D and 42.62±1.88D,respectively.The average Ks of hyperopic eyes were 44.09±1.87D and 43.87±2.33D,respectively.Corneal astigmatism were 1.24±1.06Dand 1.25±1.07D,axil length were 24.06±0.76mm and 24.17±0.90mm,respectively.There was no significant difference between the above measurements before and after cycloplegia. Neither the SRI nor SAI showed any difference.Conclusions:The Ks,Kf,Ks-Kf,SRI,SAI as well as axial length has no change following cycloplegia.Clycloplegia has no effect on children TMS-4 and A mode ultrasonography measurement. Purpose:To evaluate agreement in measuring the corneal power between keratometry and corneal topography on hyperopic and myopic children.Methods:Keratometric readings with Topcon KR-8100 automatic optometry'keratometry and corneal topographic maps with the TMS-4 on 53 ametropia'children,106 eyes were compared in regarding to steep and flat meridian power,and in astigmatism magnitude and location as well.Results:For the front of the corneal surface of 106 eyes,the measurements of the corneal topographic maps with the TMS-4 were higher than that of the Topcon KR-8100.In measuring the astigmatism,there was significant difference.(P<0.05)Conclusions:The results between the corneal topographic maps with the TMS-4 and keratometry of the Topcon KR-8100 automatic optometry are significant different,the TMS-4'is higher than that of keratometry'. |
