Objectives:To study the Clinical therapeutic effect of blood-letting puncture and cupping on blood stasis type of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion and effection on hemorrheology. The results may provide ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment of blood stasis type of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. Methods:Sixty cases blood stasis type of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion were selected with certain diagnostic standard. These patientes were all single or double interverbral disc protrusion which between the fourth and the fifth lumbar vertebrae or between the fifth lumbar vertebre and the first sacral vertebrae and the first sacral vertebrae, moreover these patients all had symptoms or physical signs on only single lower limb. They were randomly divided into treatment group (n=30) and control group (n=30). Control group adopted the common acupuncture and treatment group took the blood stasis type. The two groups applied the same points. The points were Jiaji points of the fourth and fifth lumbar vertebrae (EX-B2; double side); Huantiao point(GB30;sick side);Yanglinquan point(GB34;sick side);Weizhong point(BL40;sick side).Treatment group: Acupuncture points were treated with triangular needle quick puncture after routine disinfection, and then cupping between five and ten minutes. The bleeding quantity were controlled between five and ten ml. Control group adopted the common acupuncture, and then retaining needle 30-minute. The patients of two groups were all treated every other day and 15 days were a course of treatment and they had taken a rest for three days between two courses. Before the treatment and after two courses of treatment , we evaluated respectively the clinic symptoms of two groups with "lower back pain assessment standard "(JOA evaluation sheet), then detected the changes of hemorheology, and then through statistical analysis, then observed clinical observation and the changes of hemorheology between two groups after treatment.Result:1. After the treatment, JOA scores were all increased in two groups. But by contrast, There is difference in JOA scores between treatment group and control group. JOA scores of the treatment group were better than control group (P<0.05) .2. About index of hemorrheology: The two groups were improved, but the treatment group were better than control group, including: the blood plasma viscosity 100 (P<0. 01) , hematocrit (P<0. 05) , erythrocyte aggregation index (P<0. 01) , the whole blood reduced viscosity at height shear (P<0. 01), the whole blood reduced viscosity at low shear (P<0. 01); The treatment group were improved, but control group were no difference (P<0. 05) , including: the whole blood viscosity (mpas)1, the whole blood viscosity(mpas)200; The two groups were no improved , including: the whole blood viscosity (mpas)30 (P>0. 05) .3. Treatment group was superior to the control group about the whole clinical effectiveness (P<0.05) .Conclusions:The therapeutic effect of blood-letting puncture and cupping is better than that of common acupuncture, it is one of effective methods for blood stasis type of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion.
