Research On Rules Of Syndromes Elements Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus In Fuzhou

Objective: To explore the rules of syndromes elements of Diabetes Mellitus (SEDM)Methods: Through clinical investigation, to research 179 patients with common elements and following derivation of SEDM in Fuzhou. At the same time, the biochemical indicator of 167 patients of that sample were observed to discover the essence of SEDM by correlative research between index and syndromes elements.Results: Through clinical investigation, using the method of syndromes elements which is one mode of differentiation of symptoms and signs of TCM, to approach the distribution and development regular of syndrome of DM. The result:1.Distribution regular of elements of syndrome: The main locations of the disease are kidney, liver,lung and stomach; Heat and deficiency of Yin are the main characteristic of the nature of DM, it's also more happened to see deficiency of Qi and damp ; accumulated points of phlegm are higher when combined with macroangiopathy ,and points of blood deficiency are higher when combined with microangiopathy or neuropathy.2. The correlation of SEDM and hereditary factor: Family medical history has little effect on the excess syndromes,but the patients who have it are more often appearring deficiency of kidney and yin.3. The correlation of SEDM and disease course: With disease course getting longer, the accumulated points of spleen,stomach,lung, damp, phlegm and stagnation of QI will step down, on the contrary, those of kidney,liver,heat and the element of deficient syndrome will rise.4. The correlation of biochemical indicator and SEDM. The rising of blood glucose may has some effects on the formming of heat,deficiency of Yin,or deficiency of fluid;TG and BUA can be used as one reference index of phlegm; the rising of BUA may has some relation with deficiency of Qi or Yang, the rising of albumn may has some relation with deficiency of Yin or blood.Conclusions: 1. The kidney deficiency is one important location of DM. 2. The stagnation of liver-QI may be one chief pathogenesis of DM. 3.The patho-peculiarity's characteristic of DM is Heat and deficiency of Yin,it appearing inclusion of deficiency and excess. With disease course getting longer , syndrome character of deficiency and excess with the same severity occurring at the same time or excess outweigh deficiency will turn to deficiency outweigh excess. 4. The syndromes elements has some correlation with biochemical indicator.
