Traditional Chinese medicine is a complete medical system with its own unique philosophy ,diagnostics and treatment methods .As one of the most important basic theory of TCM ,the theory of preventive treatment of disease is used in prevention and health promotion widely .The theory is composed by two parts: prevention before disease onset and preventing disease from exacerbating .AIDS is a new viral infectious disease ,although we can't find its name in the ancient of TCM .Western medicine treats disease itself by inhibiting HIV replication ,TCM aims is to support the strong energy an body resistance so as to slow down the progressing of the disease .For the early(HIV carrier) and middle stage(ARC)patients, Western medicine has no method ,but the key aim of preventive treatment of disease is to maintain an enhance the immune-function so as to delay its progression to AIDS stage. By introducing culture-philosophy, philology,this dissertation mainly adopts theory discussing as research methods. by arranging the theory of preventive treatment of disease in the Yellow Emperor's Internal Canon of Medicine, the dissertation expounds the implication and characteristic of the theory of preventive treatment of disease.It is very necessary that founding a systematic theory about treating AIDS with the theory of preventive treatment of disease, in order to guide the AIDS clinical treatment.
