Objectives 1.To investigate the expression and correlation of Survivin and cyclooxyenase-2(COX-2) in Condyloma acuminatum(CA) tissues.2.To study the relationship between Survivin,COX-2 and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),the effect of Survivin, COX-2 on angiogenesis of CA.To explore the pathogenesis in CA.To provide theoretical evidence for treatment of CA.Methods Immunohistochemical PowerVision technique was used to detect the expression of Survivin,COX-2 and VEGF protein in sixty CA tissues and twenty-one normal foreskin tissues. At the same time,mark CA new vessels by CD105,determine CA microvessel density by the number of CD105 positive cells of blood vessel endothelium.The expression and correlation of Survivin,COX-2 and VEGF in CA and normal foreskin tissues were analyzed,and the relationships between the above factors and angiogenesis of CA and normal foreskin were also analyzed.All of analyses were performed by SPSS13.0 software package.Results 1.The positive expression rate of Survivin in CA tissues was 56.67%,while that in normal foreskin tissues 9.52%,The positive expression rate of COX-2 in CA tissues was 63.33%, while that in normal foreskin tissues 0%,There were both significant difference between two groups(P<0.05).The intensity of Survivin,COX-2 expression in CA were significant high than that in normal foreskin tissues(P<0.05).All of the positive rate of VEGF in CA tissues and normal foreskin tissues were 100%,but the intensity of VEGF expression in CA was significant high than that in normal foreskin tissues(P<0.05).2.MVD in CA tissues and normal foreskin tissues was 16.38±5.46,and 0.62±0.44,respectively.There was also significant difference between two groups(P<0.05).3.There existed significant positive correlation between the expression of Surviving and COX-2,Survivin and VEGF,COX-2 and VEGF,Survivin and MVD, COX-2 and MVD in CA tissues.4.There were no significant differences between the expression of Survivin,COX-2,VEGF and sex,age,the course of disease of patients,there were relevancy between the expression of Survivin,COX-2,VEGF and location,disease severity of patients.Conclusions 1.The level of Survivin,COX-2,VEGF expression are significantly higher in CA tissues than that in normal foreskin tissues.They may play a important role in the development of CA.2.There are significant positive correlation between the expression of Survivin and COX-2.This means there are synergistic effects between them during the development of CA.3.There are significant positive correlation between Survivin,COX-2 and VEGF.It means Survivin and COX-2 can promote angiogenesis of CA by VEGF,and they can co-regulate.
