Objective:To analyze the clinical features of patients with cholelithiasis admitted in the recent 10 years,as well as the changing tendency of the spectrum of cholelithiasis in QingDao City and JiaoDong district.Methods:Clinical data of 2899 patients,who underwent operation for cholelithiasis in our hospital between January 1994 and December 2004 were retrospectively analyzed.The clinical parameters of sex,age,and the lesion sites were reviewed.Compared with the clinical data of cholelithiasis patients in 1991,the data of the 2899 patients were statistically analyzed by SPSS12.0 package.As wellas,from January 1999 to December 2004,the total 327 stones of 60 stone specimen were sampled randomly during the Primary intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct stones,divided into ascarid foreign body stones group and non-ascarid stones group.The cholesterol and bilirubin were measured.Results: Significant differences existed in sex,the peak morbidity,and the lesion sites.The ratio of male and female with cholelithiasis in different site had obvious diversity.The constituent ratio of female was manifestly higher than that of male.The peak morbidity age of cholecystolithiasis was 40 to 69;the peak age of gallbladder stone combined with common bile duct stones was 70 to 79,the same as common bile duct stones;the peak age of intrahepatic bile duct stones was 40 to 59.The constituent ratio of cholecystolithiasis was obviously higher than cholelithiasis in other sites.The proportion of cholecystolithiasis has increased,and was accompanied with the increase of age.There were almost all of bilirubin in ascarid stones group,while 55.6%of cholesterol and 44.4% of bilirubin in non-ascarid stones group.Conclusions:In the recent 10 years(1994-2004), female's sex ratio of the gallbladder stones and the intrahepatic stones was higher than male's;the old patients have been stepping up;the spectrum of cholelithiasis has changed significantly.The proportion of cholecystolithiasis has increased predominantly.The result indicated that the major composition was bilirubin in ascarid group,while either cholesterol or bilirubin in non-ascarid group.There were significantly different between the two groups.The biliary ascariasis was the main cause Primary intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct stones in Qingdao and Jiaodong area,whereas the content of bilirubin was emerging decline tendency compared with 1950s.
