PART 1:A Comparative Study on the Temperature Measurement Methods by Using the Dynamic Distant thermometer and Mercury ThermometerObjective:To determine whether there is any difference between the temperature reading measured by the dynamic distant thermometer and mercury thermometer.Method:The body temperatures in the 100 emergency patients were measured by the dynamic distant thermometer and mercury thermometer. The reading data were analyzed statistically. Results:The average body temperatures with the dynamic distant thermometer was 36.9±0.7℃,which was no significant deference with the results measured by mercury thermometer(36.8±0.7℃,P>0.05).The body temperature measured by dynamic distant thermometer was correlated highly with the mercury thermometer(r=0.981,P<0.001).Conclusion:The dynamic distant thermometer is an accurate method for measuring body temperature, and maybe safer and easy using than the mercury thermometer in the daily clinical practice.PART 2 Study on the relationship between the body temperature and the APACHEⅡscores in the EICU patientsObjective:To study on the relationship between the body temperature and severity of EICU patients.Method:The body temperature and APACHEⅡscores were collected and analyzed in the 52 EICU patients.Results:(1) The average body temperature integral score in the survived EICU patients was 508.0±10.3,slightly lower than the death group(521.7±20.1) and the difference was marginally significant (P=0.111).(2) The body temperature of the first time, peak body temperature and the integral score in first 24 hours were correlated highly with the heart rates of the EICU patients(All P<0.01).(3) The peak body temperature(P<0.10) and the integral score(P<0.05) in first 24 hours were correlated positively with the APACHEⅡscores in all these patients. Conclusion:The peak body temperature and the integral score in first 24 hours may be the good marker for the assessment of patient's severity.
