Investigigations On Noise Exposure And Hearing Loss Of Rolling Steel Workers In Iron And Steel Company

Objective:To understand the fundamental state of noise exposure and hearing loss of rolling steel workers,analyze and appraise them,investigate the important contribution of knowledge,attiude and practice of workers for their hearing protection, provide theory instructions for the prevention and cure of occupational noise and noise-induced deafness.Methods:To integrate the noise measurement of workover post,questionnaire,ear checking and hearing test to do a Cross-sectional Study of noise exposure and hearing loss of rolling steel workers,hearing loss circumstance and knowledge,attiude and practice of workers for their hearing protection.Results:(1) Investigigation objects primarily is male,years of age primarily is 31-40,the average age is(39.89±6.921),the nation primarily is Han people,the marriage stste primarily is married,the level of education primarily are senior high school or junior high school,the type of work in production primarily are rolling steel workers, vehicle drivers,finishing workers,clamp workers,operation workers and electrical wiremen.(2) The level of knowing related knowledge primarily are fine rank and middle rank (47.2%and 22.3%),the factors which influence it include age,the level of education and the type of work.The level of education and the level of knowing related knowledge are positive correlation;age,the type of work and the level of knowing related knowledge are negative correlation.(3) 82.4%workers have had unwell symptoms in recent three months,62.5% workers have taken some measures,37.5%workers have had no measures,89.5% workers do not have any health education actions about noise hazards,the processes to get the related knowledge primarily are through books and magazines,through broadcasting,television and advertisements,also through health propaganda document,32.4%workers do not have any hearing test.(4) The prevention awareness of workers is not comprehensive,58.3%workers don't have any protection equipments.The rate of protection equipments using is low, only 8.0%workers use the protection equipments everytime.The major reasons of not using are considering it not comfortable and it may bring new safe-hidden danger. There is no contrast of individual prevention group and no-individual prevention group on the hearing loss extent,there is significant contrast of unity prevention group and no-unity prevention group on the hearing loss extent,and it hints us that unity prevention and hearing loss are connected.(5) The extent of noise intensity from 62 to 118db(A),about 90%noise intensity of workover posts exceed 85 db(A),primarily are 85-89db(A) and 90-94db(A) (31.8%和39.6%).The main noise distributes on the duty of raw material,uncoiling, acid cleaning,rolling steel,heating,finishing,shearing and packaging.The noise intensity and the hearing loss extent are positive correlation,the hearing loss extent will make more serious along with the increasing of noise intensity.(6)The rate of hearing loss is 14.9%,among the total,there are 67 observation objects(10.7%);there are 21 slight noise-induced Deafness (3.3%);there are 6 midrange noise-induced Deafness(1.0%);there is no grave noise-induced Deafness.The factors which influence the hearing loss extent include sexuality,the level of knowing related knowledge and the type of work.Sexuality and the of hearing loss extent of workers are correlative,the hearing loss extent of female workers is more severely and more easy harmed by noise compared with male workers.The level of knowing related knowledge and the hearing loss extent are positive correlation.The type of work and the hearing loss extent are negative correlation.(7) The length of noise service extent from 1 year to 41years,primarily are 10～and 20～group(39.2%and 34.2%).The length of noise service and the hearing loss extent are positive correlation,the hearing loss extent will make more serious along with the increasing of the length of noise service.Conclusion:The noise pollution of X iron and steel company is severely,there are too many source heads of noise,The level of knowing noise and noise related knowledge prevention is low,the rate of protection equipments having and using are low,the level of hearing loss is severely. To aim directly at these features,we should strengthen managing of the noise work surroundings,unity prevention and individual prevention,enhance health propaganda and education,increase the prevention awareness of every workers,also to think highly of the important contribution of knowledge,attiude and practice of workers for worker's hearing protection.To consummate the prevention and control performance of occupational health gradually and protect the health benefits of the laborers earnestly.
