Clinical Research On Treatment Of Lateral Percutaneous Pinning Fixation And Braces Fixation For Supracondylar Fracture Of The Humerus In Children

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of treatment of lateral percutaneous pinning fixation and braces fixation for supracondylar fracture of the humerus in children.Methods:From January 2007 to March 2008,according to the diagnosis,inclucive and exclucive standard,collected 50 cases of child patients with supracondylar fracture of the humerus.Apply simple random sampling trial, cases were divided into Splint's Group and Kirschner's Group with 25 cases of each group.Perform a statistical analysis of Tension blisters,Situation of open reduction for fracture displacement again,Clinical healing time, Elbow range of motion,Comparison of radiographic image(Carrying Angle, Baumann's Angle,Tilting Angle),The excellent location/good rate.Results:Percentage of Kirschner's Group which appeared Tension blisters was 16.0%.Percentage of Splint's Group which appeared Tension blisters was 36.0%.Percentage of Kirschner's Group which appeared Percentage of Kirschner's Group which appeared Situation of open reduction for fracture displacement again was 4%.Percentage of Splint's Group which appeared Situation of open reduction for fracture displacement again was 20%.The Clinical healing time of Kirschner's Group was 25±4.23 day.The Clinical healing time of Splint' s Group was 27±3.86 day.Elbow range of motion of Kirschner's Group were form -5.25°±1.14°to 138.27°±3.21°,Elbow range of motion of Splint's Group were form -3.32°±1.12°to 130.83°±3.38°.Carrying Angle,Baumann's Angle,Tilting Angle of Kirschner's Group were 8.27°±1.18°,71.27°±3.18°,15.27O°±2.01°.Carrying Angle, Baumann's Angle,Tilting Angle of Splint's Group were -3.32°±1.12°,130.83°±3.38°.The excellent location/good rate of Kirschner's Group was 92%,and The excellent location/good rate of Splint's Group was 80%.Conclusion:The excellent location/good rate of the overall treatment which used the lateral pinning fixation and braces fixation for supracondylar fracture of the humerus in children was higher and safer than the treatment of splintage.This kind of treatment deserves to popularization.
