Objective To study the effect of low-dose radiation(LDR) on HIF-1αand P53 in tumor tussue of S180-sarcoma-bearing mice.Method Kunming stain male mice were implanted the S180 sarcoma cell in the left hint inguen subcutaneously as an experimental in situ animal model;grouped into the group sudo-shaming group(N) and the group LDR;12 days after implantation, the mice in group LDR were given 75mGy total-bodyγ-ray radiation. The mice in group N were sacrificed on 6h after sudo-shaming,and the mice in group LDR were sacrificed on 6h(group LDR-6h),12h(group LDR-12h),24h(group LDR-24h),48h(group LDR-48h),72h(group LDR-72h) differently, measured the tumor volume and weight, and then detected the HIF-1αexpression and P53 expression in tumor. Results The tumor weight of mice in groups LDR is no different statistically comparing to weight in group N;the HIF-1αand P53 expression are depressing as time which is different statistically in group LDR-24h(p<0.05),group LDR-48h(p<0.05) and group LDR-72h(p<0.05) comparing to that in group N.Conclusion The tumor in tumor-bearing mice had no clearly changes in 72h after low dose total radiation, and the expression of HIF-1αand P53 reduced. It indicated that low dose total body radiation could reduce the expression of HIF-1αand P53 in a way.
