Objective To investigate the current situation of Self-efficacy and clinical practice outcomes in undergraduate nursing students who completed their clinical experiences. To know current clinical practice outcomes and it's correlative factors,and propose specific measures and recommendations.And to explore the relationship between the outcomes and self-efficacy.In order to provide the basis for further promoting self-efficacy and practice outcomes.Methods 400 nursing students were conveniently sampled from three colleges of Sandong province.The self-designed questionnaire on clinical practice outcomes, general information and influencing factors and,the General Self-efficacy Scale(GSES) emended by Professor Zhang Jianxin were applied to the survey.Data processing made use of T test,one-Way ANOVA and multiple stepwise regression analysis done by SPSS13.0 Software.Results①367 valid questionnaires were took back,including 9 male and 358 female.②The mean score of samples' self-efficacy was 2.73±0.438 points.23.7 percent of nursing students' General self-efficacy scores were below 2.5;Female nursing students' general self-efficacy was higher than the general female college students norm,but less than adult norm;There was no significant difference after ANOVA among the three nursing college students' self-efficacy.③Only 39 percent of nursing students practiced in medical department,surgical department,gynecological department and pediatric department.The analysis indicated that the affection score was highest,followed by motor score,and the cognitive score was the lowest(successively is 3.7640±0.3767,3.2774±0.4137,3.1896±0.4081).In typical items analysis,6 items belong to basic nursing of cognitive and motor skills dimensions of the first 10 items in score,and 9 items belong to special nursing of cognitive and motor skills dimensions of the last 10 items in score.④The General Self-efficacy of nursing students was remarkably related to practice outcomes(r=0.297~0.413,p<0.01);linear regression drawn that practice outcomes can predict self-efficacy⑤The multiple linear stepwise regression revealed that profession interest,character and clinical teachers' encourage entered sequentially regression equation.Conclusion①On the whole,Self-efficacy scores of nursing students is at the middle level,but a small number of their scores are low.②Clinical teachers should focus on nursing students' ability in cognitive field;nursing students' Knowledge and skills in advanced practical nursing also need to be improved.③Practice outcomes influence self-efficacy,practice times,self-efficacy and practice attitude influence practice outcomes.The self-efficacy and practice outcomes of nursing students influence and promote each other.
