| A majority of elderly patients who have got intertrochanteric fracture are companied with different degree of the osteoporosis, as well as several diseases in other systems, such as multiple organs failure and insufficiency of cardiac pulmonary reserve, who show a poor capacity of anti-physiological fluctuations and tolerance of surgery. So minimally invasive surgery for intertrochanteric fracture have became a new focus in recent years, however, there are still a lot of controversies about operative indications and procedures.We collected the advantages and disadvantages of various operative indications and procedures and compared different material for internal fixation from a large amount of data from CBM, CNKI and PUBMED, as well as the clinical research in our department, in order to provide a reference for clinical practice.The results indicated that the surgical treatment for intertrochanteric fracture became much easier with the fast development of minimally invasive surgery. Meanwhile, there is a greatly decreased the risk for surgical complications such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, pulmonary embolism and bedsore in elderly patients, which has been widely recognized by clinicians. |
