| Objective:To investigate hospitalized patients with Sjogren's syndrome accord with the 2002 American-European Classification criteria for Sjogren's syndrome. To understand the similarities and differences of the involvement of various systems between Primary Sjogren's Syndrome (pSS) patients in our hospital and pSS of domestic and foreign literature. To analysis the similarities and differences of the clinical characteristics and laboratory tests between pSS and secondary Sjogren's syndrome (sSS) patients. Furthermore, to improve the rate of diagnosis accuracy for Sjogren's syndrome in the future.Method:Hospitalized patients with Sjogren's syndrome in 2003.1.1-2009.2.28 in in-patient department of our hospital were enrolled.. Record cases of the general situation, the clinical features, laboratory examination and related autoantibodies .In according to 2002 international diagnostic criteria for Sjogren's syndrome , the patients were divided into following group, pSS group and sSS group.Results:(1) 1.A total of 62 patients with Sjogren's syndrome patients were enrolled, male to female ratio was 1:14, with an average age of 46.66±15.5 years. pSS group of 30 patients, male to female ratio was 1:9, the average age of 48.7±15.0 years; sSS group of 32 cases, secondary to SLE 17 cases,RA 11 cases,SLE and RA 4 cases, male to female ratio was 1:31, the average age of 40.9±15.2 years. (2) pSS involvement of various systems: pSS group 30 cases, 16 cases of the blood system involvement (53.3%); 10 cases of pulmonary involvement (33.3%); 5 cases of liver injury (16.7%); 3 renal tubular acidosis (10%), 0 cases of renal dysfunction;thyroid function tests in 17 cases, 7 cases (41.2%) thyroid dysfunction, 4cases (23.5%) positive for thyroid-associated antibodies. (3) pSS and sSS clinical features: compared with sSS,pSS patients have higher dry eye (93.3% vs46.9%), fatigue (60.0% vs25.0%), dental caries ( 50.0% vs12.5%), lung involvement (33.3% vs 9.4%), xerotic keratitis (50.0% vs25.0%) ,lower arthralgia (36.7% vs71.9%). (4) pSS and sSS laboratory examination: compared with pSS,sSS patients have lower hemoglobin , lower albumin, and higher ESR.Conclusions:In our hospitalized patients with Sjogren's syndrome accord with 2002 American-European Classification criteria for Sjogren's syndrome, pSS with thyroid, lungs, blood system, kidney involvement coincide between pSS patients in our hospital and pSS of domestic and foreign literature, and liver damage is lower than the literature. pSS group of exocrine gland secretory dysfunction more than sSS group, especially the lacrimal gland, make the related symptoms more than sSS group. sSS group anemia, systemic inflammation such as ESR more than primary Sjogren's syndrome group. |
