Objective To investigate sleep situation,sleep disorders and influencing factors ofchildren aged 2-6 years in Hangzhou.Methods In stratified sampling method,X children aged 2-6 years in Hangzhouwere selected. The investigation for children's parents with an identical sleep evaluation questionnaire was conducted.Results Totally, 1050 children aged 2-5 years were investigated. 1007 questionnaireswere qualifid,the qualified rate was 95.90%. Of which,532 questionnaires were for boys and 475 questionnaires were for girls. In daily sleep time (including total daily sleep time,daytime sleep time and nighttime sleep time) of children in different groups,there was significant difference (F=14.709,8.691,5.437 respectively, all P<0.01). The factors affecting sleep time of the children included gender,weight,unable to move and seeing terror scene when falling asleep,having his own bedroom,sleeping by himself, cordial, night terrors, hyperhidrosis. The prevalence of sleep disorders was 58.59%. Among them, sleep apnea 0.3%, mouth breathing 3.1%, snoring 8.3%, molar teeth 8.9%, restless sleep 6.2%, hyperhidrosis 10.1%, somnambulate 0.3%, night talking 2.1%, night terrors 1.2%, member spasm 1.4%,bed-wetting 3.4%.The high-risk factors affecting sleep disorders of the children mainly include age,irregular sleep,not enough sleep time,help for falling asleep,unable to move when falling asleep.Conclusion The total sleep time reduce gradually along with the growth ofchildren. The daily sleep time of children aged 2-6 years in Hangzhou was shorter than both that in overseas "Nepali Science" recommended for same aged children and reference in《Child Health》for same aged children in our country. The prevalence of sleep disorders was higher compared to existing data. Besides the genetic factor, the main factors associated with sleep habit and sociacultural environment,which should attract extensive concerns of the society, the family and all levels of child health care workers.
