Objective To discuss the changes of apoptosis of myocardial cell and expression of Bcl-2 and Bax with continuous Remifentanil infusion on dogs ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods 24 healthy hybrid dogs were divided randomly into four groups,Group A is sham group, without ischemia-reperfusion injury.Group B is ischemia-reperfusion injury group, to ligature the anterior descending branch of left coronary artery with 30 minutes ischemia and 2 hours reperfusion.Group C is low-dosage Remifentanil continuous infusion group, continuous infusion Remifentanil in the dosage of 0.5μg﹒kg-1﹒min-1 from 30min before ischemia to 2h reperfusion.Group D is high-dosage Remifentanil continuous infusion group, continuous infusion Remifentanil in the dosage of 1μg﹒kg-1﹒min-1 from 30min before ischemia to 2h reperfusion. The apoptosis rate, the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax in myocardial cells were detected in every group. Results the apoptosis rate in left ventricular myocardium in group B,group C group D was higher than that in group A significantly, that in group C and in group D was lower than that in group B. the expression of Bcl-2 in group C and group D was higher significantly than that in group B , and the expression of Bax in group C and group D was lower than that in group B. There was no significant difference among group C and group D in the above parameters. Conclusion Continuous Remifentanil infusion could lessen ischemic reperfusion injury by reducing the rates of myocardial cells apoptosis, up-regulating Bcl-2 and down-regulating Bax.
