| AIM:To determine the effect of entecavir on the blood levels of LN,HA,PCⅢ,CⅣin patients with chronic hepatitis B.METHODS:30 chronic hepatitis B patients who visited to our hospital during of 2007 to 2008 were recruited into the study.They were treated with a daily dose of 0.5mg entecavir.The blood levels of hyaluronic acid(HA),laminin(LN),procollagen TypeⅢ(PCⅢ) and collagen TypeⅣ(CⅣ),HBVDNA and ALT were determined before treatment and 4 weeks,12 weeks,24 weeks after the start of treatment.RESULTS:1.HBVDNA was 3.29±2.1log10copy/m,1.60±2.0log10copy/ml,0.9±1.70log10copy/ml respectively after treatment for 4weeks,12weeks,24weeks.The decrease was significantly compared to the level before treatment,6.68±1.02log10copy/ml.(F=47.79,P＜0.05).As well the recovery rate of ALT was improved.2.The recovery rate of ALT between HBeAg(+)and HBeAg(-) patients for 4w,12w,24w were respectively16.67%,16.67%;61.11%,41.67%;94.44%,75.00%;As well,HBVDNA negative rate were22.22%,33.33%;61.11%,58.33%;72.22%,75.00%.There weren't significant differences between HBeAg(+)and HBeAg(-) patients both the recovery rate of ALT and HBVDNA negative rate.3.The levels of LN and HA decreased significantly after treatment for 12 weeks and 24 weeks,There existed significant differences(F=2.73,F=2.79,P＜0.05).CⅣdecreased significantly after treatment for 24 weeks.The differences were statistically significant (F=3.03,P＜0.05).Although the level of PCⅢdecreased,as well the difference was not significant(F=0.831,P＞0.05).4.There were 3 cases seroconversion of the 18 HBeAg(+) patients.5.No adverse reaction was reported in the follow-up period. CONCLUSION:1.Entecavir can effectively inhibit the HBV replication,improve the liver function.It appears that the effect on the HBe Ag(+)and HBe Ag(-) patients was similar.2.Entecavir decrease the level of LN,HA,PCⅢ,CⅣ,and therefor the liver fibrosis may be improved. |
