Objective To probe into the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis of urinary system. Methods We performed a retrospective analysis of 6 cases of female patients with endometriosis of urinary system diagnosed from 2003 to 2008.Results Of the 6 atients,5 had bladder involvement and 1 had ureteral involvement. Only one of the patients presented urgency and odynuria;3 had pelvic operation history. All the 6 patients were involved in some other estrogen-dependent diseases, mainly leiomyma and adenomyosis.Treatment consisted of electrocautery in 3 patients and partial cystectomy in 2 patients,2 of them were diagnosed by pathological section. One patient underwent ureteral resection and end-to-end anastomosis and was pathologically comfirmed.5 of the patients received hormonal therapy after operation, 3 by GnRH-a and the other 2 by progestogen. Conclusion(s):Endometriosis involving urinary system is an uncommon condition, the misdiagnosis rate is considerable high due to nonspecific symptom and variable diagnositic examinations.Treatment should be done as early as possible and according to the patient's condition,in order to release symptom, remove lesion, relief obstruction and improve renal function.
