Objective To study the correlation of computed tomography imaging (CT) features with the expression of MVD and Ki67 in subtype renal cell carcinoma and evaluate the biological behavior and proliferative potential.Methods 61 renal cell carcinona specimen were collected for the retrospective analysis, which were testified by CT imaging, and proved by operation and pathology. MVD and Ki67 expression were determined by immunohistochemical PV9000 method in all patients. It were studied that the correlation between expression of determined proteins and CT features in renal cell carcinoma, including clear cell RCC in 30 cases,papillary RCC in 12 and chromophobe RCC in 15, multilocular cystic RCC in 4.The Siemens Somotom plus 4 spiral CT was used. The 55 patients were examined plain CT scan and enhanced CT scan in cortico phase,cortico phase,eccrisis phase,lag period except 5 cases were examined only in cortico phase,cortico phase .The patients need drink waters 1000ml before scan and injected contrast ioglucomide cubital vein at (300mg/ml) .We measured the largest potentialized degree,the homogeneity potentialization,the tumor size,the shape of the tumor,the tumor border,invasion of adjacent structures and distant metastases in CT imaging. then analysed the relationships of the expression MVD,Ki67 and CT features and histological grades.Results 1,The positive expression of MVD and Ki67 in renal cell carcinoma tissue is significant higher than normal kidney tissue. 2,The positive of MVD and Ki67 were significantly correlated with the necrotic and cystic,the largest potentialized degree,the shape of the tumor, the tumor border. The distant metastases were different in the expression of the MVD and have no difference in the expression of the Ki67 in renal cell carcinoma. 3,The clear cell renal cell carcinama necrotic and cystic is correlated with increased expression of Ki67 ,but have no correlated with MVD. The positive of MVD and Ki67 were significantly correlated with the tabulated shape, the tumor border,the largest potentialized degree .There were significant difference among the grades with the histological grading increasing ;The papillary renal cell carcinoma internal hemorrhage,the potentialized degree,the necrotic and cystic were correlated with expression of MVD and Ki67 and there were no correlations between the tumor border of the expression of MVD,Ki67 ; The positive of MVD and Ki67 were significantly correlated with the diameter of the tumor,the tabulated shape, the potentialized degree and the inhomogeneity potentialization in chromophobe renal cell carcinoma.Conclusion the enhanced CT scan is reliable for subtype renal cell carcinoma preoperative diagnosis . Part of CT signs is associated with the expression of MVD,Ki67.They can indirectly show the biological behaviour and malignant extent of the subtype renal cell carcinoma.
