Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of ozone injection combined with the radiofrequency thermocoagulation to the lumber disc herniation under the guidance of C-armed X-ray fluoroscopy and compare with the therapy of collagenase injection. Methods 100 patients who were in the pain department of Shandong provincial hospital between 2005.10 to 2007.10 for LDH were selected in this research. All cases were treated with minimal therapy under X-ray fluoroscopy. Patients of group A received ozone injection and radiofrequency thermocoagulation. All patients of group B were injected with collagenase. Results After the operation, all patients were followed up. The difference of the change of VAS (visual analogue scales) among the two groups is not significant. The half releasing time of pain of group A was (2.82±1.17) d, when the time of group B was (2.94±1.11) d ,there was no statistically significant difference( P >0. 05);There was no statistically significant difference in the short-term and long-term effects of patients in the two groups ( P >0. 05) ; The average time of hospitalization of group A was(10. 68±1.36)d, to group B , it was (13.46±0.76)d , there was statistical significant difference between the two groups. The postoperative complication rate of group A was 22.0 %,for group B ,it was 20.0%, there is no significant difference( P > 0. 05); Conclusion Ozone injection combined with radiofrequency thermocoagulation for the treatment of LDH is of certain effect, high safety, can quickly relief the pain of the patients, and have low compication rate, is equal to the injection of collagenase. The average time of hospitalization of group A was significantly shorter than that of group B. |
