The Anatomical Basis And Menifestation Of Digital Subtraction Angiography In Patients With Bronchiectasis And Hemoptysis

Objective:To analyze the supplying arteries and menifestation of digital subtraction angiography ( DSA ) in patients with bronchiectasis and hemoptysis for its clinical application on embolization therapyits.Methods:62 cases with bronchiectasis and hemoptysis were selected from August 2007 to March 2009 in interventional ward. Among them 36 cases were male and 26 were female. To confirm the supplying arteries and menifestation of DSA in patients with bronchiectasis and hemoptysis by contrast-enhanced CT and DSA.Results:62 cases finished the DSA examination through the emboliza- tion therapyits. 21 cases of them finished contrast-enhanced CT examina- tion before the embolization therapyits. 10 cases showed that the supplyin arteries were the branchial arteries by using DSA without any othe abnormality. 34 cases showed that the supplying arteries were the abnormality branchial arteries, 14 cases of trunk type (11 cases with shun of bronchial arteries, 3 cases with aneurismal expansion of bronchial arteries ), 12 cases of mesh type, 8 cases with match type by kinds of communicating arteries. 18 cases showed that the supplying arteries were not the branchial arteries, 12 cases of pulmonary arteries, 4 cases of intercostal arteries, 2 cases of ne vasculars between the branchial arteries and pulmonary arteries.Conclusion:The hemoptysis of patients with bronchiectasis is concern- ed with the abnormality of supplying arteries. It has many kinds of types. The clinical doctors should analyse carefully the supplying arteries'anatomical basis and appearance of DSA befor embolization treatment.
