Background and objective: It is the important problem to conclude postmortem interval (PMI) for the practice of forensic science , although how to exactly deduce PMI is challenging. The relation between the change of ion concentration of Vitreous humor and PMI after death, attracts more and more attention. But the influence of different factors resulting in death on the Vitreous humor is ignored. So that might disturb the accuracy. The death caused by organophosphate poisoning and acidosis are the common reasons for death in daily life, So we set up the two models to measure the changes to explore the relation between the concentration of Vitreous humor and PMI after death in different time. Methods: (1)Material:32 healthy rabbits(from Chongqing Medical University Experimental Animal Center) were divided into Organoph- osphate poisoning and acidosis group.5% trichlorfon were used in rabbits for inducing the animal model of acute organophosphate poisoning, and 30% Sodium Dihydrogen Phosphate were used in rabbits for inducing the animal model of acute acidosis.(2)Extraction of samples: the rabbits'vitreous humor were collected at different time points after the death of Organophosphate poisoning or Acidosis.(3)Preservation of samples: The samples were diluted with deionized water according to 1:3, and stored at -25℃. .(4)Testing samples: The United States ABBOTT Aeroset2000 automatic biochemical analyzer was used for the detection of ion concentration .(5)we used SPSS1 2.0 analysis software for statistical analysis of the data. Results: 72 hours after the death of acute organophosphate poisoning, the concentration of Potassium,Magnesium,Phosphorus in vitreous humor were gradually increased ,however Calcium,Sodium were decreased gradually with the time of death, and Chlorine performed instability. Magnesium ions,Potassium ions and phosphorus were closely related to PMI. (R2=0.9818, 0.97, 0.9458). 72 hours after the death of acute acidosis, the concentration of Potassium,Magnesium,Phosphorus in vitreous humor were gradually increased while Calcium were decreased gradually with the time of death. Sodium performed instability, and the change of chlorinity was firstly decrease and then increase.Potassium ions and phosphorus were closely related to death time (R2=0.9761,0.9861).Conclusion: include Potassium many chemical components in rabbits vitreous humor change after the death of acute Organophosphate poisoning or Acidosis , among which Potassium,Magnesium, phosphorus can be used as a reference index of the ETSD. The concentration of Potassium in rabbits vitreous humor can be used to inference PMI.
