| Objective To assess the association between polymorphisms ofβ2-adrenergic receptor coding block 16,27 loci and the older-aged COPD with EH in Yunnan Han Chinese subjects. We aimed to elucidate whether the polymorphisms ofβ2-AR affect the development of COPD with EH.It may provide a new idea for comprehending the pathogenesis of COPD with EH,and furthermore,to put forward the reasonable prevent and treatment for individual COPD with EH by genotypes. Methods A case-control study was performed on 180 older-aged subjects, includig 60 older-aged COPD subjects with EH,60 older-aged COPD subjects without EH and 60 older-aged Subjects healthy controls.Theβ2-adrenoceptor polymorphisms at amino 16 and 27 were identified by allele specific polymerase chain reaction(AS-PCR).We analyzed the difference of the frequencies of genotypes and alleles ofβ2-AR gene 16,27 loci between the COPD with EH,the COPD and the healthy controls. We also analysed the relationship between it and the FEV1 value of COPD patients, the grade of EH,and the results compared with various ethnic groups. Results No significant differences were observed in the COPD with EH,the COPD and the healthy controls of the present study population.A significant correlation between the Gly16β2-AR polymorphism and FEV1 value or grade of EH were found (P<0.05).Patients with GlyGly and ArgGly variants had a lower FEV1 value than did patients with ArgArg.Gly16 allele frequency in grade1,grade2and grade3 EH were 18%,33%and 50%.Significant differences of blood pressure were observed in gade1,grade2and grade3 EH groups(P<0.05).But there was no significant difference between Gln27 polymorphism and FEV1 value or grade of EH(P>0.05).The distribution of the fequencies of genotypes and allele ofβ2-AR gene16,27 loci had significant differences in the various ethnic groups. Conclusions The polymorphisms ofβ2-AR gene coding block 16,27 loci may not be associated with the development of COPD with EH.The polymorphisms ofβ2-AR gene coding block 16 loci may be correlated with lung function of COPD patients and the grade of EH in the present study population.Patients with Gly16 variants had a lower FEV1 value and a higher blood pressure. |
