The correlation between the expression of EG-VEGF, VEGF and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed.RESULTS⑴The EG-VEGF was expressed in 14/18 aldosterone-producing adenoma samples, 2/6 adrenocortical hyperplasia samples of PA and 5/8 normal adrenal cortex samples. VEGF was expressed in 12/18 aldosterone-producing adenoma samples and 2/6 adrenocortical hyperplasia samples of PA,all of normal adrenal cortex samples didn't expressed VEGF. There was no statistically significant correlation between EG-VEGF or VEGF expression and sex, age, blood pressure, serum kalium, plasma renin activity (P>0.05), except plasma aldosterone (P<0.05). There was positive correlation between EG-VEGF and VEGF (rs=0.809,P<0.001).⑵The difference of expression of EG-VEGFmRNA or VEGFmRNA has no statistically significance between adrenocortical hyperplasia samples of PA and normal adrenal cortex samples (P > 0.05), but the expression of EG-VEGFmRNA or VEGFmRNA in aldosterone-producing adenomas was higher than which on adrenocortical hyperplasia of PA or normal adrenal cortex samples (P<0.05).CONCLUSION Normal adrenal cortex expressed EG-VEGF, normal adrenal cortex didn't expressed VEGF. The expression of EG-VEGF and VEGF was higher in the aldosterone-producing adenoma samples than which in normal adrenal cortex samples. EG-VEGF and VEGF promoted the angiogenesis of PA's adrenocortical tumors and maybe played a significant role in occurrence and development of PA's adrenocortical tumors. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | primary aldosteronism, EG-VEGF, VEGF, immunohistoche- mistry, RT-FQ-PCR | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
