ObjectivesTo compare the clinical effectiveness and relative efficiency of Stapled Versus Unstapled Mesh in laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair.methodWe searched Medline, Embase, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) in english and cbm, wanfang date, vip in chinese, wo also searched several chinese Magazine by hand. In addition, specialists involved in research on the repair of inguinal hernia were contacted to ask for information about any further completed and ongoing trials, relevant websites were searched and reference lists of the all included studies were checked for additional reports.Selection criteria:All published and unpublished randomised controlled trials comparing Stapled from Unstapled Mesh in the laparoscopic repair of inguinal hernia were eligible for inclusion.Main resultsThe search identified five RCT which reported no statistical difference between Stapled and Unstapled Mesh in the laparoscopic repair of inguinal hernia when considering recurrence, p=0.16,12=45%, RR95%CI(0.13,14.67) and Persisting pain p=0.15,I2=47%,, RR95%CI(0.24,8.16), two RCT suggest no statistical difference in Bleeding or Bruising/seroma, economic evidence were identified without mesh stapledAuthors'conclusionsthere is no apparent difference when mesh stapled methods are compared with nonstapled considering recurrence, Persisting pain, Bleeding or Bruising/seroma, economic evidence were identified without mesh stapled. nonstapled is rational...
