Objective to explore the method of normal laryngotracheal flap be replaced for defect in the hypopharyngoesophagus in Hypopharyngeal carcinoma resection。Method Normal laryngotracheal flap would be retained for repairment of defect in the hypopharyngoesophagus to sixteen inpatients suffered from hypopharyngeal cancer. Of the 16 cases, eleven cases was implemented with approach A, two cases for approach B, two cases for approach C and one cases for approach D. two typical cases was also included for retrospective analysis.Results sixteen cases recovered swallow function in a short time. Of the 16 cases, one case was discovered to insult with stoma narrowness after one month operation and relieved gradually by expansion. two cases was discovered to suffer with topical infection and pharyngeal fistula in ten days, and relieved in two to four weeks. nine cases was visited with follow-up in three years, three cases died in the same period.Conclusion we take into account that normal laryngotracheal flap can be used to repair defect in the hypopharyngoesophagus for those suffered from hypopharyngeal cancer and is not appropriate for Laryngeal function...
