Objective To investigate the pathogenesis, clinical characteristics, and treatment of thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy. Method Analysing the 33 patients of thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy about its pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment. Results Thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy always incorporate Graves'disease, but have no relationship with thyroid function. Now the major therapy is glucocorticoid. Conclusion The pathogenesis of thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy is very complex. Always relate with the disorder of thyroid disease, Affected by many factors, just like:environment,immunity,heredity, and so on. The therapy for thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy are immunosuppressant, orbital radiotherapy, and surgery, although the related therapeutic effect is not very confirm, which affected by many factors.
