| [Objective] This study was to discuss the association between cerebral subcortical small-vessel disease and cerebral main arteriosclerosis disease with brain atrophy.[Methods] We did a survey on 10 patients diagnosed as brain atrophy, collected their clinical data, including blood pressure, blood sugar, blood fat, smoking and drinking habit, as well as the previous history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia and cerebral infarction. Furthermore, we decided the total condition of cerebral subcortical small-vessel disease and cerebral main arteriosclerosis disease by their information.[Results] Judging from the aspect of cerebral subcortical small-vessel disease, except the Case 2 diagnosed as moyamoya disease, all the others can be seen intensive white matter lesions and multiple lacunar infarcts on the MRI of head. While judging from the aspect of cerebral main arteriosclerosis disease, Case 2 had the sign of apparent vascular stenosis without sclerosis, Case 4,5 and 6 had no relevant data, and the others had arteriosclerosis to some extent. [Conclusion] Cerebral subcortical small-vessel disease and cerebral main arteriosclerosis disease may be accompanied with brain atrophy on the MRI, might providing the association of them on the basis of clinic. |
