| ObjectiveTo observe the effect of different fasting time before cesarean section under combined spinal epidural anesthesia on maternal blood glucose and umbilical artery blood glucose.Material and MethodsA total of 96 full-term and healthy pregnant women during cesarean section under combined spinal epidural anesthesia in our hospital were randomly selected in the present study, they were divided into three groups by different fasting time before cesarean section: group I:the fasting time before cesarean section<8h; groupⅡ:the fasting time before cesarean section between 8h and 16h; group III:the fasting time before cesarean section≥16h. The maternal blood glucose before delivery and umbilical artery blood glucose were recorded.ResultsThere was no significant difference during all the maternal blood glucose in the three groups. The umbilical artery blood glucose between group I and II groupⅡwere similar; Compared with group I and groupⅡ, the umbilical artery blood glucose of group III significantly decreased.ConclusionLong-time fasting of pregnant women before cesarean section under combined spinal epidural anesthesia is inadvisable, it is beneficial that the fasting time is<16h, long-time fasting of pregnant women before cesarean section may significantly decrease the umbilical artery blood glucose of fetus. |
