Application Of The Heart Failure Echocardiography Index In The Evaluation Of Chronic Heart Failure

ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical application of the heart failure echocardiography index in chronic heart failure(CHF).Method125 patients of CHF(as the CHF group) and 30 healthy people(as the control group) examined by the echocardiography to calculate the heart failure echocardiography index(according to the multi-parameter of the ultrasound), the serum level of the BNP were tested at the same time. The results were compared with the NYHA classification standard. The correlations between the heart failure echocardiography index and the BNP, LVEF were analyzed separately.ResultThe heart failure echocardiography index and BNP in the CHF group were obviously higher than the control group and the increased amplitude was consistent with the severities of the CHF. In the different types of HF, there were significant differences between the heart failure echocardiography index and BNP (P<0.01). The correlation between BNP and heart failure echocardiography index was remarkable positive(r=0.86,P<0.01) and the correlation between BNP and LVEF was negative(r=-0.65,P<0.01).ConclusionThe heart failure echocardiography index can be used as an important indicator in the evaluation of the CHF and it was remarkable correlated with BNP.
