Acupuncture is an important method for the treatment of stroke, and its clinical efficacy is precise. But different doctor uses the different approach because of their different experience. There is no study which showed that which acupuncture method is better now. Objective:This study observed the effects of three different acupuncture therapy(Needling Method, Yin and Yang Method, "Jin's 3-needles" therapy)of treating spastic paralysis after stroke, and to find which one is the best, in order to find the optimal treatment for clinic under the evidence-based medicine. Methods:From January 2009 to March 2010, this study selected the suitable researchers from the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.60 patients, according to the order of admission, were randomly assigned to Needling Method group, Yin and Yang group, "Jin's 3-needles" therapy group in a 1:1:1 ratio. And the three experimental groups were deal with mutual control. The acupuncture treatment was doned five times per week, rested 2 days and continued. At the same time, each group was taken the basic treatment of blood pressure, controlling blood sugar and others for 28 days. Both before and after treatment with ADL scales and Fugl-Meyer scale, the motor function and activities of daily living were assessed. All the datas were analyzed with SPSS16.0 packaget.Results:1 according to statistical results of ADL, it showed that three experimental groups after treatment had significant statistical difference (P<0.01), but the efficacy of treatment between groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05).2 According to statistical results of Fugl-Meyer Scale, it showed that three experimental groups after treatment had significant statistical difference(P<0.01). And beween groups, Needling Method group and the "Jin's 3-needles" group had significant difference(P<0.01), but there was no statistical significance beween Needling Method group and Yin and Yang group, so did Yin and Yang group and the "Jin's 3-needles" (P>0.05). However the data show that:"Jin's 3-needles" group is more effective than Yin and Yang group, Yin and Yang group is more effective than Needling Method group. Conclusion:After a course of treatment, three types of acupuncture methods had effect to spastic paralysis after stroke.1 to improve the daily lives of patients, the three types of acupuncture methods had a significant effect. The effective rate of "Jin-Three Needle" group was 95%, Needling Method group group and yin and yang method group were 90%.It showed that the acupuncture treatment to improve the ability of daily live had a positive effect.2 To improve motor function, the three types of acupuncture methods had significant effects. Comparising the three methods, "Jin-three needles" group was the best one, and Yin and Yang group was more effective than Needling Method group. |
