| Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect and the safety of treating spastic paralysis after stroke by Grain sized moxibustion combined with acupuncture treatment, and discuss its mechanism initially so as to explore a therapeutic method which has definite effect and is easy to be operated. Methods:According to the inclusion criteria,60 patients of spastic paralysis after stroke were selected by randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group were treated by Grain sized moxibustion combined with acupuncture treatment, while the control group were treated by the therapy of routine acupuncture. With the same acupoints, the patients of the two groups were treated once a day for 5 days a week, and were treated continiously after 2 days, which last 3 weeks. The same regular basic drug therapy were given to the both groups. Spastic degrees, daily life ability, motor function level of the two groups patients were assessed by using modified Ashworth spastic rating, clinic spastic ityindex(CSI), Barthel's ADL indexes and brief Fugl-Meyer assessment methods before and after treatment。Result:Tested by chi-square test and inspection(P<0.05),the baseline informations of the two groups patients before treatment are comparable. Spastic state, daily life ability and motor function level of both groups were improved after 3 weeks treatment, and has statistical significance compared to those before treatment. The clinic spastic ityindex(CSI) of the treatment group were dramaticdecline and has statistical significance compared to that before treatment (P<0.05), while the control group were not obviously decreased and has no statistical significance compared to that before treatment (P>0.05). The improvement of spastic state, clinic spastic ityindex and motor function level of the treatment group were superior to the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The Barthel's ADL indexes had no significant improvement in both groups, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). No patient in the two groups had obviously adverse reaction. Conclusion:The spastic state of patients can be reduced and the ability of daily life and motor function of patients can be improved by grain sized moxibustion with acupuncture treatment, all of that are better than traditional acupuncture, especially in reducing spastic state and improve motor function... |
