Objective:To measure BMD of lumbar 1-5 in patients with AS and healthy controls. To observe CT grading features of sacroiliac joint in patients with AS.To explore the changes in BMD of lumbar in patients with AS and the correlation between the changes of BMD and their CT grade.Use SPSS to analyse all data. Methods:To measure BMD of lumbar 1-5 in 80 cases patients with AS and 60 cases healthy controls by QCT.To scan sacroiliac joint of patients and grade the patients by thieir CT features. Results:CT grade of sacroiliac joint in patiets with AS:gradeâ… 18 cases,gradeâ…¡26 cases,gradeâ…¢26 cases,gradeâ…£10 cases.Osteoporosis 43 cases, low bone content 22 cases, nomals 15 cases.Baseline comparison explain that there is no significant difference in sex and age between patients and normals(P>0.50); There is no significant difference in sex of BMD measurment of lumbar 1-5(P>0.10); multiple regression analysis of BMD and age reveals that BMD of lumbar 1-5 decreased with age increased(P<0.0001); BMD of lumbar 1-5 in patients with AS are lower than that of healthy controls (P<0.0001); There is a close correlation between patients with AS and healthy controls in BMD of lumbar 1-5(P<0.0001); analysis of variance of BMD in different CT grade of AS tells that as CT grade of patients with AS increased, their BMD decreased.Conclusions:1.There is no significant difference in sex of BMD measurment.2.BMD of lumbar 1-5 decreased with age increased.3.BMD of lumbar 1-5 in patients with AS are lower than that of healthy controls.4.There is a close correlation between patients with AS and healthy controls in BMD of lumbar 1-5.5.As CT grade of patients with AS increased, their BMD decreased.
