Effects Of Short-Term Atorvastatin Combined With Clopidogrel On Blood Lipids And Hs-CRP In Patients With Acut Coronary Syndrome

Objective: To investigate the short-term effects atorvastatin combined with clopidogrel on high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and blood lipids level in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).Methods: 90 patients were randomly divided into three groups: conventio- -nal group (atorvastatin 20mg/d, n=30), loading dose group(atorvastatin 40mg/d, n=29)and combining group (atorvastatin 40mg/d, clopidogre 75mg/ d, n=31), the levels of hs-CRP and blood lipids were detected before and two weeks after treatment, the drug adverse effect was observed at the same time.Results: The total cholesterol and the low density lipoprotein cholelsterol level decreased in three groups after drug intervention, but conventional treatment group blood lipids decreased not remarkable difference (P>0.05); The latter two group of blood lipids reduction has the remarkable difference (P<0.05), the hs -CRP and blood levels of patients significantly decreased in three groups (P< 0.05), compared with the conventional group and the loading dose group, the hs-CRP level was significantly decreased in combining group(P<0.05), compared with the conventional group, the hs-CRP level was significantly decreased ( P <0.05) in the loading dose group. There was no side effect in three groups.Conclusion: Treatment with loading dose atorvastatin combination with clopidogrel not only decreased the blood lipids levels but also had the best effects on inhibiting inflammatory responses and lowering hs-CRP. Early intensive clopidogre treatment may yield more significant benefits in the ACS patients.
