| ObjectiveObjective to summarize the experience of the operations in the treatment of 9 patients with central lung cancer which broke into the main bronchus from July,2001 to Feb,2010.MethodsA total of 9 patients,7 males and 2 females, with central lung cancer underwent around-bronchus lobectomy and pneumonoresection. Left pneumonoresection was performed in 2 patients, right pneumonectomy in 1, left upper lung lobectomy inl, left lower lung lobectomy in 1, right mid-lower lung lobectomy in 1, right upper lung lobectomy in 3.ResultsThere was no operative mortality. Postoperative recurrent laryngeal nerver was reversibly damaged in 1,no atelectasis and bronchopleural fistula in anyone. The 5-year survival rates was 55.6%.ConclusionAround-bronchus pneumonoresection and lobectomy in the treatment of the central lung cancer broke into the main bronchus or trachea is capable of excising complete lung cancer while remaining healthy lung tissue as much as possible and avoiding accordingly complication of the sleeve lobectomy or carina resection. |
