ObjectiveTo study the value of enhanced MSCT in dignosis of TNM staging in colorectal carcinoma.MethodsTo retrospective analyse 48 patients with colorectal carcinoma, which had been proved by pathological examinations after three-phase enhanced MSCT scan were obtained. Carcinoma were staging with TNM by axial imaging and MPR imaging. The staging result were compared with those of pathological examination in all cases.ResultsAll carcinoma were diagnosed exactly by MSCT and sensitivity was 100%.39 cases of 48 were correctly staging with TNM and accuracy was 81.3%. The accuracy of T, N, M was 89.5%,83.3%,97.9%respectively. The density of metastatic lymphnodes were higher than that of reactive hyperplasia lymphnode (LSD-t=3.014, P<0.05). Serosa disorders and circumferential infiltration were shown at a higher frequency in metastatic group than in negative group(X2=7.83, P<0.05).ConclusionAt present MSCT has important value in screening of colon cancer, deciding the tumor invasion scope and presence of distant metastasis. MSCT can provide a valuable reference in clinical stage of colon cancer, But the depth of bowel wall invasion, lymph node metastasis is still determined with some limitations, needs further study.
