Objective To study the clinical analysis of treatment splints and bone traction for child femoral shaft fracturesMethods Retrospective study of the method used to select diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria without exclusion criteria 60 patients were divided into 2 groups according to treatment (n= 30), treatment group with small increases bone traction splint, the control group Flexible intramedullary nail fixation, the follow-up fracture healing, fracture rate and clinical efficacy of standard postoperative complications were evaluated. Results The subject of case study 60 patients were followed up for 6-12 months, an average of 9 months. After treatment, the results show that fracture healing time, increase bone traction splint group 8.37±1.56 weeks, flexible intramedullary nail fixation group 8.13±1.41 weeks, no significant difference between the two (P> 0.05). Six months after two cases of fracture of clinical efficacy of standard score and bone traction splint group excellent in 22 cases, good in 6 cases and 2 cases and poor in 0 cases,93.3%excellent and good rate, flexible intramedullary nail fixation group were excellent in 23 cases, good in 6 cases and 1cases and poor in 0 cases, the fine rate was 96.7%, in comparison with no significant (P> 0.05). Two limb fracture healing without obvious complications, deformity and dysfunction have been described. Conclusion External splints fixation and bone traction for child femoral shaft fractures in fracture healing, fracture rate and clinical efficacy of standard postoperative complications in such areas as flexible intramedullary nail fixation with no significant difference. However, It's one of the ideal treatment methods for treatment of child femoral shaft fractures, for it can reduce the economic burden of injury and surgery.
