ObjectiveTo understand the growth and intellectual development of some preschool children in Huining, in order to offer basis information for promoting the growth and intellectual development of children.MethodThe objects, were randomly selected by cluster sampling in kindergarten of Huining, Intelligence development test and nutrition survey (including dietary survey, anthropometric measure, and nutritional status laboratory testing) were put into the practice, and understanding the past health status of children by analysis the past medical data.Results1 The neuropsychological development of childrenThe neuropsychological development of 2.4%children was lower. The status of development quotient for children conformed to the normal distribution. The scores of DQ for different aged children were 96.10±12.87,96.54±10.95,97.39±13.58, and the DQ increased with the age of children. The multivariate factor gradual regressive regression analysis showed that the age of children, whether or not to accept pre-school education, and cultural level of the mother is the main factors, which impact on the neurological development of children.2 Correlation analysis between intelligence development and nutritional status(1) The analysis of nutrition and neuropsychological developmentThe energy, protein and carbohydrates can meet the need of children, but the intake of animal foods was less and the energy by fat was lower. The low rate of calcium, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin C, folic acid, iodine of dietary was 87.8%,97.0%,97.8%,92.0%,96.7%,99.4%, 2.4%of children were low neuropsychology. There was obviously difference between the intakes of zinc, selenium, iodine on different levels of neuropsychology.(2) The analysis on relationship of the development of children's neuropsychological development on five serum elementsThe lower rates of serum copper, zinc, calcium, magnesium, iron were 25.1%,76.6%,5.7%,1.4%,37.1%,2.4%of children were low intelligence. There was a significant difference on Cu, Zn, and Ca in children of urban and rural. There was positive correlation between IQ and the age of children, the mother cultural level, whether or not to accept pre-school education, blood zinc, iron, but it was negative correlation on calcium, copper.3 Analysis of past health(1) The status of AnemiaThe content of hemoglobin of children was lower than the national average. The prevalence of four years anemia were 31.8%,29.6%,35.6%,30.1%. And the total prevalence of anemia was 25.1%. There were no obvious gender and age difference on the incidence of anemia. Data from logistic regression showed that sex, age, the model of delivery, underweight, stunting and the culture of parents had statistical significance to the prevalence of anemia.(2) The status of Physical developmentThe physical development of children was lower than the findings of nine City in 2005;The physical development was accelerated with the age increasing of children. The rates of underweight, stunting, wasting, overweight, obesity were 1.7%,25.7%,1.7%,16.0%and 17.6%. The rate of malnutrition showed a downward tendency and the rate of overweight and obesity showed a increased tendency. The mainly malnutrition of children was stunting. The results of the regression showed that the sex, age, anemia and the culture of mother were the influence factors.(3) The Analysis of Intelligence developmentThe rates of intelligence were 1.2%,34.3%,55.1%,9.3%,0.2%on different level. Multivariate logistic regression indicated that the Intelligence development of main influence factors were children's age, the educational levels of parents and occupation of mother. The proportion of lower intelligence was 0.2%, while the well intelligence was 1.2%. The intelligence of children was increasing year by year. There was significant difference in hemoglobin between the different levels of intelligence. The rate of lower intelligence of the anemia group was higher than the no anemia group.ConclusionThe neuropsychological development of children was well. The factors of Impacting on neuropsychological development are complex, such as the education of parents and preschool. There is closely relation between Neuropsychological development and nutritional status. The children were facing the challenged of malnutrition and overnutrition. The prevalence of anemia should be deserved extra attention. There was a certain correlation between the intelligence and anemia.In order to promote the growing of children, we must accelerate the development of economic, improve children's rearing environments, enhance early education and promote parental education. And Take use of the local characteristics of food and strengthen nutritional education to improve the nutritional status of children, so as to promote the growth and development of children. |
