Feature Analysis Of Disease Spectrum In Emergency Department Of JinCheng Ore District During The Year 2004 To 2009

Objective:To analyse age, disease category, time and regularity of visiting doctors inorder to probe composition and characteristics of disease spectrum in emergency department of JinCheng ore district. To provide ascientific basis fororganization and management ofmaterials, equipments, personnels and technics in emergency departments.Methods:Retrospective analysis of 23165 case information about disease spectrum in emergency department from our hospital during the year 2004-5 to 2009-5. According to gender, age, time, system diseases and injury,to list composition and sequence both emergency diseases by retrospective analysis, and to draw the graph according to the results calculated by EXCEL software.Result:①Among the emergency patients, males outnumber females and the high incidence age groups are 21～40;②Injury and digestive system diseases, nervous system diseases and respitatory diseases were the first four kinds of diseases in emergency department, accounting for78.92% of emergency patients.③Limb injury is the most in emergency injury, accounting for 44.08% of injury.④The frequency of emergency visitsis the lowest at midnight and in the early morning and the highest is from 18 to 23 hours;⑤The density of emergency visits is a little higher in autumn and summer than winter and in spring, Compositions of diseases differed in different seasons, the season compositions of diseases were accordant to disease onset regulation;⑥The system diseases in the peak age of onset comply with the law of the incidence of the disease.Conclusion:Composition of emergency disease spectrum and characteristics of time distribution is beneficial to prevention of critical illness. Focus of technical construction and direction of personnel training of emergency department should be decided according to the disease spectrum to improve diagnosis and treatment of emergency patients.
