| Objective:Comparison of Nano-Ag-SiO2 anti-infective catheter and ordinary urethral catheter extracts on rabbit epithelial cells in vitro activity, a preliminary evaluation of nano-Ag-SiO2 anti-infective catheter biological safety. Methods:Mechanical separation and enzymatic digestion were isolated and cultured rabbit urothelial cells and in vitro primary culture and expansion lines made of cell suspension, the medium replaced with immersion nano-Ag-SiO2 and general anti-infection catheter catheterization tube medium, to MTT assay quantified two extracts on the rabbit urethra epithelial cells in vitro cytotoxicity. They were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent detector of anti-infection nano-Ag-SiO2 and general urinary catheter group absorbance, and calculate the relative greath rate (RGR), toxicity evaluation and comparison.Result:Nano-Ag-SiO2anti-infective catheter group are one immersion solution cytotoxicity, its relative growth rate 93.6%~104.6%; Cytotoxicity of soaking solution of ordinary catheter group were 0, its relative growth rate of 97.4%~106%; nano-Ag-SiO2 and general anti-infective urinary catheter were slightly toxic. Nano-Ag-SiO2 anti-infective catheter with relative growth rates of common catheter was no significant difference between the number (P>0.05).Conclusion:Nano-Ag-SiO2 anti-infective catheter on cell growth and reproduction of the same effect with regular minor catheter, no or low cell toxicity, consistent with the biological evaluation of medical devices standards. |
